Zip Line:
A zip line consists of a pulley suspended on a cable mounted on an incline.It is designed to enable a user propelled by gravity to travel from the top to the bottom of the inclined cable by holding on to the freely moving pulley. Zip line activity at River county is conducted across the Kallar river. Distance between the two points is more than 200 meters.
Trekking:
We conduct trekking inside the forest with licensed guides. Guest are taken to different tribal hamlets and given an insight on their living.( For trekking prior permission is required from forest officials). Guests get to see the sheer glory and power of the forests. Mottakunnu, a nearby trekking destination is home to approx 2000 Nilgiri Tahrs who can be spotted in the early hours of the morning. Suryathol waterfalls and Golden valley are other picturesque trekking destinations. Monkeys, wild elephants, wild deers, hares, wild boars, etc can be spotted during the forest trekking expeditions, not to mention the kaleidoscope of butterflies who live in this habitat.
Tree Jummaring:
It is a fun filled and adventurous activity. A person is made to climb a high tree vertically with the help of Ascenders (equipment used in mountaineering and rock climbing to climb easily, it has got a one way gate where it moves only in one direction and gets locked, will not come back) and ropes. The person will be always belayed for safety reasons. Once he reaches top, the climber is allowed to free fall with the help of Descender (equipment used to descent a rock or mountain which are also used for many other descending purposes) and is given a sudden break before reaching the ground. This increases the thrill and excitement of the activity.
Tented Accomodation:
For guests who want to live and enjoy the true feel of the wild forest or enjoy the nature and are looking for some more adventure, we provide them the facility of tent accommodation. Good quality outdoor tents are used for the purpose.
Safety
1. A Standard Operating Procedure is followed in every activity planned and executed.
2. There is a separate SOP for emergencies or in case of any mishap or accidents.
3. All the emergency SOP’s are practiced and updated regularly by all the staff members
4. All the technical staffs are first aid and life saving technique trained and certified.
5. All the equipments are of international standards and as per the guidelines given by the Government of India.
6. A proper log book is maintained to log the usage of each equipments
Rate per person: INR 2750 (Inclusive of food, accommodation and adventure activities)
The Food package for the above rate includes: Bed Tea, Breakfast, Lunch with fish curry, evening tea and snacks and dinner with chicken curry.
